Autumn is still quite a few weeks away, but don’t expect the temperatures to drop just yet. We’ve witnessed record heat waves this summer, and we may experience another before we transition into fall. Your energy bill will suffer if you plan to leave your air conditioner blasting during the warmer months.

If you don’t have A/C or are looking for a more energy-efficient way to cool off, the EvaChill EV-500 might be worth a look. The company’s patented, eco-friendly, bio-safe EvaBreeze cartridge absorbs water and sends it to the cooling pads, where it evaporates as the unit expels air. Plus, if you’re afraid of allergens, the material can filter dust particles and prevent bacterial growth. This efficient, innovative design helped the EV-500 earn a 2019 Red Dot Design Award.
